Do you like board games? The Windmill Hill Community Centre certainly* like board games. COME AND PLAY BOARD GAMES WITH US!
We’ll be hauling Ikea bags full of games down to the club THIS SATURDAY 2ND FEBRUARY at 19:30 to bring people together, drink beer, and play some of the finest in modern cardboard games!
No experience necessary. We’ll teach you rules. Or if you have your own games to bring along, please teach us! Bring your friends! Or come on your own and join a table. We’ll make sure you don’t go funless!
As to what you’ll be playing – Between us, we’ve got more games than we can possibly drag up, so we’ll be bringing a balanced mix of all different kinds of fun in an Ikea bag or two. If you want to talk collections, get in touch… It’d be a shame to turn up wanting to play Cosmic Encounter or Azul only to find we’ve left it at home!
See you there! Rain or snow!

*Like, perhaps a little bit too much. Some people like the smell of old wine. Some people like the smell of a new book. The Windmill Hill Community Centre likes the smell of a freshly opened box of cardboard tokens and little wooden cubes. Even the little ‘pffrt’ noise is symphony.
The Community Centre’s Christmas party is on Saturday 15th December from 7:30pm – all members invited. We’re also holding a Christmas dinner for seniors early evening.
Father Christmas will be visiting in the evening, followed by buffet (bring a dish) and disco. See you there!
We’re pleased to welcome the South Bristol Wellbeing Choir to the Community Centre every Thursday 7-8:30pm during term time.
A fun choir in South Bristol for anyone to join, any time, in term time. A fun and inclusive group that sing for the health of it!
No experience necessary, no need to audition. A ‘Pay as you Go’ suggested min. £4 donation.
Thanks to all who attended the Community Association AGM last night.
The AGM reelected Jim Haywood as chair, and we have a new treasurer, Stu Lloyd.
Huge thanks are due to Simon Haywood, who has acted as treasurer for more years than we can count.
We also have a new 13-member committee who will meet every month to oversee the running of the Community Centre.
We’re pleased to be a venue for this year’s Art on the Hill arts trail, which is taking place on Sat 6 – Sun 7 October. On Saturday evening we’re also hosting Nearly Unplugged 3, featuring local music.
Art On The Hill is Windmill Hill and Victoria Park arts trail which spans across 2 days. The trail hosts art and creations by local and Bristol artists spanning across 40 venues. The trail runs from 11am-5pm and hosts a variety of activities from free workshops, live music and exhibited art.
Nearly Unplugged 3: After a day of viewing art, put up your tired feet and enjoy a relaxing evening of singers, singing groups, poets, players and performers, with good food and drinks served from the Bar and Kitchen! Come along to socialise with other artists/performers and relax with friends/family. Performers:

Breakout Singers
Break Out Voices is a new choir with a difference. Based in Windmill Hill, Bristol, UK we are a group of amateur singers that combines A Cappella vocals with percussion, movement, simple beat-boxing and noise-making. More of a ‘vocal band’ than a choir we will be singing a repertoire of popular music arranged by band leader Kate Fletcher.
