Big thanks to RS Studios for last-minute PA hire

We wanted to extend a huge thanks to Bristol rehearsal and recording studio RS Studios, based on Feeder Rd, for their charitable help in lending us a PA system over Christmas!

The PA system in our Large Hall broke just days before our pensioners’ Christmas lunch and our members’ Christmas party – panic! The guys at RS Studios stepped in and loaned us a top-notch system over the festive period. We’re extremely grateful for their help and support.

They provide rehearsal and recording studio space for musicians, plus PA and van hire. Go say hello at:

Former Community Centre chairwoman awarded British Citizen Award

We’re excited to announce that Community Centre volunteer and former chairwoman (2006-2012) Christine Higgott has been awarded a British Citizen Award for her community work in the local area.

The award will be presented at the Palace of Westminster on 26 January 2017.

The Community Centre management committee nominated Christine for the award as a small way of saying thank you for twenty years of local community work, including work with Art on the Hill, the Victoria Park Action Group and with the Community Centre itself.

Here’s an article from the Bristol Observer:
