Tickets £7, available from the bar. Ticket price includes a free pint and a strip of raffle tickets.

New monthly music night: the Big ‘uns starting Sat 13 Feb

Our new monthly music nights are starting on Sat 13 February, bringing you the best of retro, Motown, Northern Soul and other great music.  This month DJ Barry the Bull will be playing the best from the 50s, 60s and 70s.

Brand new Windmill Hill Scouts group

We’re really excited to be helping host the brand new Windmill Hill Scouts group! They’re running every Friday:

5:00-6:00pm Beavers (aged 6-8) at the Community Centre
7:00-8:30pm Cubs and Scouts (8-14) at St Michael’s church, just over the road from us

New Year’s Eve @ the Community Centre

For New Year’s Eve we’re opening our members’ bar to everyone – come along for drinks, disco, buffet and good times! All generations welcome. Doors 8pm, last entry 11pm.

The ‘Big One’: Sat night Motown and Northern Soul on 5 Dec

On Sat 5 Dec from 8pm our resident DJ Barry ‘the Bull’ will be hosting an old school evening of Motown and Northern Soul, including a special hour of Manchester bands. Come on down for great music, a classic chip supper (including pickled eggs!) and a raffle.

This month’s Community Centre quiz is on Friday 27 November starting at 8:30pm. Teams of up to 5, £2.50 per person. Includes supper.

Specialist round this month, as chosen by last month’s last-placed team, is gardening!

Members’ Christmas Party date set for 12 December!

The Community Centre members’ Christmas Party will take place on Saturday 12 December.  It’ll include our pensioners’ Christmas lunch, a kids’ party, and entertainment into the evening.  More details to follow shortly!

We’ll also be holding a New Years Eve party on 31 Dec until late. We’re using a special licence and so the bar will be open to all, even non-members.  Kids welcome all evening.

New! Singing Tree music classes for babies and toddlers

We’ve got a brand new music class for under fives happening every Friday at 2-3pm.  It’s run by Singing Tree, who are inspired by the Kodaly approach to teaching music. Class sizes are limited so do contact Katherine in advance on 07786 845 140 to book a free trial session.

Next year will be the 10th Art on the Hill and they want to make it really special.  Can you help?  Do you have any ideas?  Could you do a workshop?  Do you have links in our local community, via schools or colleges?  They need new members on board to ensure that next year’s trail can go ahead.  You don’t need to be an artist, although if you enjoy exhibiting or performing on the trail maybe now is the time to get involved behind the scenes!
