We will be holding our annual Open Day on Saturday 20th September kicking off with games for the children on the St Mikes Church lawn (inside the Community Centre & Church if it’s raining) from 2pm to 4pm. All the favourites will be there – smash the Maltester, Hoop-La, Knock down the cans, name the cuddly toy, snail racing etc. There will be a craft activity too and facepainting. St Mikes will be selling teas, coffees and a range of cakes and biscuits. Please bring some cash for the childrens games – there’s lots of prizes!
Retrofit West are paying a visit to offer advice in the fight against climate change, including reducing carbon emissions, improving energy efficiency, creating local jobs, and improving the health and well-being of residents.
The bar will be open in the small hall from 4pm, where you’ll be able to buy pizza and drinks. We’ll have live music from Benny J. Hayes, the New Cut Collective, The World of Alan Stilton, Nigel Greville, Toby James and Hester Miller from 5pm till late – please come along and support your Community Centre and have a great time too!
